Interreg NEXT Romania-Ukraine Programme launch
On February 14, Interreg NEXT Romania-Ukraine Programme was officially launched in Bucharest.
The event aimed at informing the stakeholders about the new funds available for the development of the border communities of the two participating countries.
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration (Romania), the EU Commission, the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Embassy in Bucharest and civil society. Nadija Afanasieva, Coordinator of Working Group 1 "Political Dialogue, Foreign and Security Policy" of the Ukrainian Side of the EU-Ukraine Civil Society Platform, also joined the discussions.
After the public discussion, the first meeting of the Monitoring Committee of the Interreg NEXT Romania - Ukraine Programme took place, where participants discussed the first steps in the implementation of the Programme and the features of the upcoming call for proposals.
About the Interreg NEXT
The programme budget is EUR 54 million. To receive funding, a project must have at least one partner from each participating country. Details on the conditions for attracting funding will be posted on the program website www.ro-ua.net.
The program involves Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattia, Chernivtsi, and Odesa regions (Ukraine), as well as Satu Mare, Maramures, Botosani, Suceava, and Tulcea counties (Romania).

education
tourism and culture
climate change adaptation
border management
