Nadija Afanasieva was elected as the Chair of the Ukrainian part of the EU-Ukraine Civil Society Platform 🎉

 

The new composition of the Ukrainian side was elected at the meeting on October 6. Українська сторона Платформи громадянського суспільства Україна-ЄС is a part of the EU-Ukraine Civil Society Platform established by Articles 469-470 of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU. The CSP is a body composed of representatives of Ukrainian civil society on the one hand and members of the European Economic and Social Committee on the other.

The Platform is one of the four bodies of the Association along with the Association Council, the Association Committee, and the Parliamentary Association Committee, and was created to ensure the proper role of the civil society in the process of implementing the Association Agreement.

 

The Chair of the Ukrainian side of the Platform coordinates the activities of representatives of various sectors of civil society - public associations, trade unions, and employers' organizations, as well as 6 working groups of the CSP.
