The year of Ukrainian Presidency in the EU Strategy for the Danube Region has come to an end.

In 2022, we became the first non-EU country to preside over the Danube Strategy. It is symbolic that we completed the Presidency as a candidate for EU Membership.
The priorities defined at the beginning of our Presidency became even more urgent after russian full-scale invasion. Even despite the ongoing war, Ukraine continued to fulfill its obligations as the presiding country. The outcome was holding of the XI Annual EUSDR Forum, which was held under the slogan "Sustainable and secure Danube Region", and was aimed at strengthening the cooperation of all 14 countries participating in the Strategy in countering the growing challenges and threats caused by russian military aggression, energy crisis and COVID-19 pandemic.
