Ukraine joins the EU4Health Programme
What is this programme about?
EU4Health was adopted in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and to improve crisis preparedness in the EU. The budget of investments in the field of health care for the period 2021-2027 is 5.3 billion euros




Futhermore, during the preparation of future annual work programmes, representatives of Ukraine will participate in political debates with EU member states, which will strengthen cooperation and promote the adoption of necessary measures.

State authorities, non-governmental organizations, small and medium-sized businesses will be able to receive funding for health care improvement projects on equal terms with EU member states, Norway and Iceland.

In general, EU4Health was adopted as a response to COVID-19 and to strengthen crisis preparedness in the EU.
It is the largest program in the field of healthcare, investing more than €5 billion over seven years (2021-2027) to improve healthcare in the EU.
The EU4Health program covers four areas: disease prevention, crisis preparedness, health systems and digital technologies, with a special focus on cancer.

EU4Health for 2021-2027 is the fourth EU health programme which represents an unprecedented level of the Union's financial commitment in this area.

EU4Health is implemented by Member States, NGOs and international organisations, which can apply for EU funding in the form of grants, prizes and procurement, as well as through indirect management by the European Commission and EU executive agencies.
